The game has some good ideas, but some creative decisions make no sense, like putting boss fights or one-hit kill puzzles in places you just wouldnt expect, hence, you didnt save before, meaning you have to redo the your last 10-20 minutes (btw, saving the game isnt "free"!). Considering the combat in this game is terrible, and the puzzles for some reason have terrible controls...this will happen a lot. Again, the game has some good ideas, but for every good one, there is a bad one. Maybe worth a try if if you find it on a sale.
The 5 stars are mainly because after years, decades, of demand, GOG managed to rescue these games from obscurity, and they are back...not only that, while the Resident Evil trilogy added last year needed some fan fixes to run properly, this works perfectly out of the box. About the game itself, if the first one was "Resident Evil 1 with dinosaurs", this one is "Resident Evil 4 with dinosaurs", after the mixed reception the original one had, Capcom made a straight-up action game...which is a lot of fun, and in my opinion, a better game than the original, a game that could become pretty tedious pretty fast. Sadly, it came out in late 2000, when the PS2 was already out, and not that many people bought it, so while the first game gained a cult following, the sequel didnt, and a lot of people are not even aware of its existence...which is a shame, because this game is A LOT more approachable than the first one. Whatever the case, support these games (both of them) so GOG can keep up the amazing job they are doing preserving these gems.

About the game itself, while its a classic, and it has a lot of charm, in these 26 years (damn) it was spreaded this false notion that this is "Resident Evil with dinosaurs", when...it just isnt, and Dino Crisis is a game that is 90% puzzles (which are pretty demanding) and 10% dino encounters (which are pretty hard), this game simply isnt for everybody, and after playing for a few minutes, you will realize why back in the day reviews were mixed, and Capcom took a completely different aproach with its sequel. Still, as I said, its a classic, and supporting this release is supporting GOG to bring more games back from the grave...or the jurassic era.
You install it, and you play it, that's all there is to it, the game even has online support. MKT is considered one of the most iconic 2D fighting games ever, and there is literally no other place to play it legit, or without doing some weird stuff to make it run on modern hardware (this game came out nearly 30 years ago). Beware, though, the game is back in all its AI cheapness glory!
When it comes to gameplay and graphics, it aged like milk, but just as with the other titles in the franchise, you are not here for them, you are here for the plot, and as always, the game delivers, just like with the exceptional voice acting. If you are a fan, this is the only way you can support this classic, if you are not a fan, give it a try, because the story deserves it, and it only gets better from here.
