Interstellar Space: Genesis - Evolving Empires

Absolutely AMAZING expansion!

ISG is the absolute and only true spiritual sucessor to MoO2. The game is the best 4x turn-based space game I've played EVER, and I've basically played them all... Everytime I run a new game on ISG there is a renewed sense that the game is, indeed, the perfect game. This expansion adds a huge amount of value to the game, specially through the addition of the "Evolutions" space culture tree and the minor civs. The evolutions tree is a new race-specific tree in space culture and can completely change the civilization gameplay, adding much "flavor" to the game. So you can now have much more strategies to use with each one of the races you pick (you really like that race but would like it to be more aggressive? Maybe there's a evolution path for that!). The minor civs adds a lot of new content through the bonus they give and new gameplay mechanics required to claim (and keep) these bonus. This is a totally worth expasion. Congratulations to the devs and PLEASE keep more great DLCs like this coming!

Interstellar Space: Genesis

4x jewel

This game is extremely fun. I'm a veteran 4x player that have played quite some games (GalCiv, SoSE, Stellaris, Endless Space, MoO, Pax Nova, just to name some of the "space-themed" ones...). ISG is' a 4x turn-based space empire game (you know that, of course) and a kinda fresh take on the genre with some cool mechanics. The graphics are simple, and yet quite charming. The UI may scare you a little bit at a first glance (as in any 4x game), but a few turns into the game and you're all set. Some events like "ruin explorations" and "galactic events" are quite fun to read, interact and reap the rewards (or consequences). The developers are EXTREMELY active and community-driven, they really listen to their player's demands and keep constantly updating the game. The DLCs add some necessary flavor and mechanics into the game, they are really worth (but the vanilla game is extremely good and worth). A third expansion have been announced.

Master of Orion

Forget the lifeless whiners. GREAT game.

"EULA" boo-hoo "Multiplayer DRM" *sob* *sob* The reviews here should be about THE GAME, not the DRM-EULA paranoid conspiration theory the nerds-in-a-bunker keeps whining about. If you're a ordinary human, with a life, a family, and much worse worries than "oh my God, it's the EULA!" and if "Multiplayer DRM" is way down on your lists of imminent death threats, then read this: The game IS great, It's really good at what It does: being a 4x game. It's graphics are really good, the gameplay is fluid, the game is not overcomplex (I still wonder why someone keeps playing games that are so boring and complicated that looks like we should've been paid [or condemned] to play them.) Master Of Orion is NOT that kind of game. You can sit down in the end of a tiresome workday and relax playing a game that can be whatever you want: just adjust the right settings and there you go: a difficult (or not so difficult) 4x game that pleases the eye and the mind. Now, if you're worried about the spies trying to rob your soul essence with Demonic-imbued EULA's and with Satanic DRMs, well...go read some paranoid review, there are plenty of them. "Anti-DRM" and "Anti-EULA" has become a fanatic cult on countries that people really have not much else to worry...very sad. My only advice: wait for a tiny shiny promo, BUY AND PLAY! Bear in mind that the only reason for so many negative reviews is the fact that paranoid lifeless nerds living in bunkers and fighting against the "DRM-EULA conspiracy" abhor made this game negative-reviewed. I say again: the game is GREAT.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!

The game is incredible. The gameplay, the mechanics, the bosses (and also their mechanics), and the STORY! Oh boy, the story is absolutely cativating. The story really made me have that "just a little bit more, let's see where this goes" feeling and there is a lot of nice humor and funny lines. I recommend it, BUY IT! It's a masterpiece. 16h of pure fun, guaranteed.
