Adds a very detailed and engaging new region and some nice changes to the gameplay. Can't recommend this enough. Player freedom is also king here like it was in the basegame. You can join different factions, approach quests and maps differently (depending on your preferences and char built). The biggest highlights are the massive defensive battles against the natives and the stories you experience in this region (which sometimes also affects stuff in basegame maps). It just brings so much more to the table than only the Waterworld setting. You'll be surprised. Absolute nobrainer, instabuy. If you haven't touched UnderRail yet, I recommend playing it straight away in combination with the DLC as it adds A LOT to the basegame.

UnderRail is with almost 240hours my 2nd most played game in galaxy. Finished it beginning this year without DLC and few weeks ago with DLC. Absolutely fantastic and the most fun I had with any game in the past 3 years I'd say. It always motivates you with deep and fun combat, character progression, atmospheric environments and dialogues. I'd describe it as combination of System Shock 2, Deus Ex and Fallout. Lots of big iconic names at once, I know. Mentioning System shock because of the environmental storytelling, leveling system (oddity) and Deus Ex because of the and player freedom. Fallout of course for the visual presentation and setting. One early quest takes you to an abandoned complex which has 3 (or 4?) floors. In one of those you have to retrieve an item from a corpse and robots are patrolling. On my 1st playthrough I managed to retrieve that item without being spotted. On the second playthrough I still opted for a hacking/lockpicking character but no stealth. So I made use of EMP-grenades and brute force. This kind of level/quest design is prevalent from beginning till end. Locations are varied and contain some of the creepiest places. Exploring may be very dangerous but also very rewarding. Especially with the (ingenious) odditiy sytem which I highly recommend so you try different approaches. Play this game, even if you couldn't care less for isometric RPGs (first Fallout, BG, Arcanum etc). UnderRail ain't easy but at least it's not unfair and most importantly it's motivating enough that you wanna keep going, even after a hard battering. Some negatives: - Not 100% balanced although no RPG is imo. A lot of builts are viable but after two playthroughs I fear that hacking/lockpicking is just too useful. Crafting skills are very fun and only with those you can get the best gear but it might put you too much on an disadvantage early game. Playing without psionic seems suicidal to me - Don't like shotguns Could rave about this game forever. Go get it

Amazing game that completely caught me by surprise. Every level feels different and is a joy to play. Also becomes challenging very quickly but it never becomes frustrating. On the contrary. You wanna replay levels constantly until you accomplish all expert tasks and for hunting the achievements. Very good game, must pick imo

Back then I played a shit ton of Jedi Outcast and enjoyed it a lot, especially for it's Multiplayer (has one of the best MP-maps ever made) and console commands. But Jedi Academy I just played the first time June 2019 so I have no nostalgia about it whatsoever. And loved every second of it. I totally understand if people say that Outcast is overall the better game because of better plot and that you are Kyle Katarn. But for me Academy is in most respects simply more fun and engaging. It has a much more of an adventurous feel to it as every level changes the scenery drastically. Also the combat is much more divers and fun. Every level is a joy to play and you always wanna know where we go next. Although we don't play Kyle Katarn anymore he is such a big part in here (basically appears in every level and sometimes he's a companion) that I never had a reason to miss him. Just like Outcast you can go crazy with console commands and it's even better than in Outcast because of more diverse and different locations (also more NPCs that you can spawn, I believe) which makes it to the ultimate sandbox. Infinite replay value guaranteed. From which newer singleplayer game can you say that? About Multiplayer: It's amazing. You're really missing out if you don't play this in MP. And it's very easy to still play this online and find matches. Imo the best Star Wars game ever made and the most fun I had in a long time with a singleplayer title.

This game got the complete package. Very good singleplayer campaign, very good multiplayer and it doesn't end there. With console commands you can basically create your own combat scenarios and get really creative. For example, spawn four Luke Skywalkers and fight against 15 siths and this on every location of the game. Pick the most interesting ones and try this out after you've finished the main game. The possibilities seem endless. The combat is so amazing that you'll never get bored and this a game that I will easily play through once every few years (in combination with Jedi Academy →check my other review over there if you want). Games like this aren't created anymore. Grab this game and it's prequel+sequel.

First point & click adventure that I've ever played. Apocalipsis is short and sweet. Basically every scene is visually pure genius and alone for that it's worth playing this. The story and environments are dark but the game is fun as well. The protagonist remains silent throughout the game and appears stoic which makes some moments total badass, considering what Harry actually performs ingame. You actually experience an adventure with Harry which I wasn't expecting, when buying it. "Night in the woods" is a small but nice addition too. Definitely recommend it, even if you have never played an point & click adventure or if you're generally not interested in the genre.

This is almost a five star rating but Banner Saga 1+2 are such masterpieces and in some regards better than Banner Saga 3 that I decided to give it a slightly 'worse' rating. Every game has its unique themes and played one after another you feel like in an awesome fantasy movie (like Lord of the Rings). There's fantastic music, amazingly written and deep dialogue and all games manage to be interesting AT ALL TIMES. You always wanna know how it continues. Why do I think the other two are better? It's just nuances. BS 3 has definitely more refined and interesting combat than BS 1 but overall you get to know more locations in BS 1 (BS 2 also for that matter) and they also have a few more memorable dialogue sequences. This game is intense at all times which conveys the desperation of the characters final battle and if you don't play this one, the entire story would feel very incomplete (especially after the amazing final of BS 2). Difficulty is a bit unbalanced for all games. The highest difficulty is in some battles too insane, medium difficulty a bit too easy sometimes if you know what you're doing. A fourth difficulty level between that would have been great. BS 2 is just one of the best games ever made. Better in every regard than the other two games. Nuff said. About the Deluxe Edition and compatibility with Steam save games/save files: The item 'Gold wasp' isn't useful at mid and high difficulty. It incentivizes a much more aggressive playstyle which simply doesn't fit with Banner Saga. So that's not a reason to buy Deluxe. But the OST and the other extras are incredible. There are enough people praising the music, so no need for me to do that. No worries regarding compatibility with Steam files. The game should recognize the files automatically so you can import them to your GOG playthrough. If not, you can choose them manually. Easy like that. To summarize, play definitely this game and the other two!
