Age of Wonders

Great turn based strategy

Really a fantastic gem of a game - there's a reason that there have been so many sequels. So charming, so fun!

Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy

Decent CRPG, still buggy in early access

I've been enjoying this game despite it's dated graphics and mechanics that are purely derivative. I'm writing this while the game is in early access and there are still occasional bugs, though nothing game-breaking yet.

Fallout

Classic RPG goodness

Great game. Sure, it may feel dated to youngsters, but the vibe is just so amazing.

Pillars of Eternity

Great CRPG!

A great game in the same vein as Baldur's Gate 1 & 2. Offers some ineresting additional elements like the stronghold and encounters (sort of a choose your own adventure thing). Great music and artwork make the game shine!

The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard

Works in 2023

Playing in April 2023, Windows 11, high-end system. The game works fine for me. Just wanted to add this in since many of the older reviews talk about the game not running properly.

Nehrim: At Fate's Edge

Amazing mod, needs patching.

One of the best mods ever made, without a doubt. Offers a brand new experience. A shame that the GOG version does not appear to have the many patches that are needed for the english version.

Cyberpunk 2077

Maybe it will be better, someday

The game is very disappointing at this point. Performance it terrible on my playstation 4. But, beyond that, the game is lifeless and dull. Needs a huge amount more of interaction. It feels like the spent most of their time on the main questline and the construction of the world, then forgot to populate it with anything else.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY Edition

My favorite game of all time

Yes, it's old. Graphics are dated, you have to read a lot, gameplay is antiquated(I personally don't mind it), and there's balance issues - to name some of the bigger issues people have with it. However, no game before or after offers the depth of gameplay and immerson that Morrowind does. No game has matched the mysterious, eerie tone that this game exudes. From giant mushrooms that people live in, to a city made of of ziggurats emerging from the see - each one a town of its own, this game is amazing. Not to sound like a Todd Howard broken record, but this is truly a game where you can go where you want and do what you want. If you can get over the antiquated veneer of this game, it's an absolute gem of gems.
