EVERSPACE™

An absolute pleasure

That game hit home perfectly in my case. Easy to pick up. Beautiful. You can play 10 minutes or 4 hours. A little bit of grinding, a little bit of tricks, upgrades that doesn't force you into game-lasting decisions. Just a game for you to have a short, pleasant break with. I wait for 2nd part with high hopes.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

A marvel

Mankind Divided can't help being compared to Human Revolution. Most are unfavorable for MD; I, however, believe that this game is actually better than its predecessor. Human Revolution offered you an option to complete the game pretty much any way you wanted. MD does the same, but makes it better: in HR, fighting bosses required you to use your combat skills and mouse / keyobard prowess. Here, while you still need some of that agility, you can actually play it the way you want. Bosses will not magically find you or disrupt your augments. You can take them non-lethally just like all other opponents. The game rewards you for true stealth, an addition - compared to HR - that I love. You still get experience by hacking, but often even more by finding the code. Exploration is rewarded that way, as well as with experience points for visiting particular places. Side missions are interesting and aplenty. Locations are well designed, albeit it's still pretty much mandatory to take a couple of extremely useful augmentations - but it's still 2-3 out of the whole bunch. The game suffers, however, from the very same issue that HR did - it's short. It ends pretty much abruptly, waiting for another Deus Ex to pick up the story. Here's hoping that it will.
