Crusaders of Might and Magic

The demo was better than the game

I remember when I was very small, I got the demo for this as part of some other game (I cannot remember what). It was one of the first 3d RPGs I had ever played, and god, I played that demo uncountable numbers of times. I never ended up buying it until a year later when I convinced my parents to get me a T rated game. When I played the full version, I was kind of disapointed. The demo left me feeling like I had played only a small portion of some larger game, some larger quest. I found magical items, killed several different kind of enemies and figured out some jumping puzzles. The full game did not live up to the image I had in my head. The full game was very linear, the story, aside from Drake's backstory, was dull and poorly presented, the combat became dull faster than I remembered and many of the spells in the demo never showed up in the full game. The game also felt like it ended about 2 hours too soon. Crusaders of Might and Magic really just felt like an unfinished game. It was the first of my, now many, dissapointments when it comes to games not living up to their own hype.
