I've played this game a ton together with my kids. Absolutely one of the best games ever created and well worth the purchase at any price. Buy it
You think that's a good wand? No, it will kill you. You think that guy's friendly? Nope, he wants to kill you. Do you think that that perk you got is good? Well, chances are it won't save you. P.S. Acid is not your friend.
Not much to say that hasn't been already. Immersive, addictive, challenging, excellent! Play it, you won't regret it.
I've been trying to get into this game but the UI is so bad I can't. The idea of this game really appeals to me, I love in depth complex game systems and enjoy figuring out how to make it all work. I love the idea of being able to start out with a single planet and almost no tech and expending my empire to cover the galaxy. But with the lack of ability to scale the UI and how terrible the game looks in 1024x768, I end up with a headache and sore eyes after about 10 minutes of trying to see things. It's unfortunate because I think the game is probably pretty good, it's just unplayable for anyone without eagle vision.
It's a decent game, well put together and a lot of fun to play, but the campaign is just too easy, and looks like it's going to be awfully short ( I haven't finished it yet). I love having more lore behind the HW games, I really enjoyed the story behind those games and ate up every little bit of lore they gave me, it's cool to get more of it.
Any game where I lose the tutorial is good enough for me.
