Alder's Blood: Definitive Edition

I really wanted to love this game...

I watched the development of this game since the kickstarter campaign. Bought it in early access, when it was practically unplayable. The "Definitive edition" still has many bugs and QoL inconveniences. Some of them: active research randomly fails to show progress, only total camping days required and then boom, it's finished. Savegames menu takes ages to open when there are lots of files. It's like the game loaded all the data nstead of filename previews. When you continue a game, it may randomly throw a resolution of dialogue quest you did several game days before and with a different resolution than you chose (you still get the reward, so if there are any hidden darkness consequences, I guess they apply as well). It is not worth the full price, but go for it on discounts if you like the atmosphere. Some battles are too easy, some are near impossible, some feel like a chore. The atmosphere is great, the story interesting, albeit linear. Overally a solid game, but I expected more from it.
