There's nothing really wrong here. It does have a lot of various spectacle shooter standards, but it all feels really underwhelming and generic. Innate scatter on the guns means accuracy is hard limited, but there also isnt enough ammo to make it feel fun to spray and pray. Weapons have modifications, but as the limited ammo seems to encourage picking up weapons mid-mission, any mods you pre-install are gone unless you carry around an empty gun and pray for ammo to show up. The melee based mechanics are mostly amusing for their G-Mod-esque ragdolling, and taking an enemy as a shield just feels like a bit of an add-on rather than particularly implemented. Checkpoint based saving is definitely a major put-off for me personally, as dying at the last step of an area and starting over gets old after about the second time. *minor spoiler below* ------------- I was going to try and push through to see the story out, as it isnt terrible, and has a bit of an SCP vibe to it. However, the moment it pulled out the 'Kill your teammates' trope, I basically tuned out and lost interest. I have no problem with a dev wanting to tell the story they want to, but by that stage I was already a mostly disinterested party. ------------------ Overall, if you just want a fairly solid, standard Spectacle Shooter, there seems to be a lot of game here, just not enough here to make me want to persevere through more hours of playtime.
