Railway Empire

Fun Railway Management Game

The main issue i have with the game is that at least to a "novice" its not as easy to quickly see at a glance what needs what and from whom. You need to click first on the town, then on the details menue to see what it needs, and then go and look for those recources (say if you want to grow a town) No deal breaker just annoying and i guess this will solve itself with time once i have memorized who needs what. Also the controls in regards to track building have cool ideas but the "clicks" you have to do is so totally different to other games i played so far in this genre it takes some time to adjust. Nevertheless a super cozy game that looks great and is just fun to chill with.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

Very good story based RP game

Well, in my 150h so far i had about 5-8x as many bugs as in my whole Cyberpunk 1.4 playtrough. This is a FACT that many neglect when throwing salt at CP. Do i throw salt at Witcher 3 because it is factually buggy and crashy still? no! Why? Because it has an interesting story, fun sidequests and you can clearly see where the basis of why cp is so good comes from. Personally i find the RPG part of it much downgraded compared to Witcher 1, but it is still a very good game where you live in a world as a monster hunder. And i really like that you can tailor the game to be as hard or as easy as you want. I wouldnt say it is the best RPG ever or even best game ever, that title goes to grim fandango :P You cant beat a guy with a folding scythe ;) And in terms of character creation / rp system it is definitely not the crown owner, but it is - by all means - a very good RPG with an interesting story and rewarding gameplay. Especially the salt that gets thrown at it recently for not being solled in certain countries is just baffling. CDPR has delivered a good game with W3 AND CP , they dont deserve the salt that gets thrown at them.

Cyberpunk 2077

Enjoyable ride trough a cyberpunk world

Preface: I heard a lot about the bumpy start of the game. So i waited a year until the game was on sale to play it over x-mas in one go. I very rarely buy games when they release anyway, and prefer to not hype myself up beyond reason. Thus i could just enjoy the game for what it is, and suspend my disbelief easily to expirience the story, and not ruin it for myself. Technicality & Bugs: I run a 3900X with a 2080RTX (non super) on 1440p. my poor 2080 struggled a bit running the game but after some hours i managed to dial in stable 70 fps with dlss. I had one crash trough my whole 110h of gameplay right in the last mission where you have no savestates. Beside that, i only encountered bugs or glitches that are common in any other open world looter shooter game of similar kind (borderlands, gta, fallout, skyrim, outer worlds, etc.). Sometimes a weapon was stuck in the ground. Sometimes a car freaked out bc it was stuck in some scenery. Nothing major, never had to reload bc. of it. Story: If you expect a game where you can rollplay whatever you want and the story adapt to it, you will be dissapointed. However, you can make a lot of decissions that will influence the last part of the game. All in all, missions and side missions are very enjoyable and the atmosphere is spot on. Im not someone that tries to forsee any story plot twist to not ruin the expirience for myself. Just accept that you expirience a story, not your own. Gameplay: I like that it doesnt require you to thurrowly plan out your skilltree else you will fail. You can basically build the character any way you like as long as you have a rough idea what you want to do. General: I really enjoyed it. I get that people are mad about what CDPR did prelaunch. And its fair to criticize them for it. But it is just wrong to criticize the GAME for what the PUBLISHER did. The Game itself is totally enjoyable and a very good game, i can fully recommend to anybody interested in Cyberpunk.

Pathway

A solid, well polished Roguelike

Young-Harrison Ford walking around the corner is something i expected every minute to happen. This game oozes that weird-war occult theme we all grew to love from the Indiana-Jones movies or Uncharted Series. I usually dont dig Pixel-Look that much but the ammount of HD-Pixel-Polish this game has is ..... astonishing. It does not look pixely even on 1440p but has that oldschool feel to it still. The game itself, for me as not a hardcore Rouglike-Player is fairly balanced. It gives you options to make the Campaigns easier or harder. The Characters all have interesting mixes in abilities and such - but also weaknesses. And never underestimate a gunslinger with a Pistol. It might seem weak, but it can save your bacon. The game favours preplanning a lot - strategy in battle is important but if you didnt plan in a restock, no ammount of strategic skill will save you. I like that when someone is in open ground, the change to hit is nearly always 100%. You dont get much of those pesky 99% hit - misses. The characters level up and keep their level even when they die, as well as their gear. So if you fail you will get stronger. Its one of the easier Rogue-Like concept ive seen but... it does not have to be dark souls level every time. I would have wished for a bit more variety in oponents, there are basically two sets (Nazi Soldiers and Cultists) with a limited ammount of Soldiers. So if you look for a Roguelike you can dump 100+h into (aka you look for something to burn time) - this is probably not for you. I managed to play trough all campaigns in one go, but i didnt took that many risks. I had a fun time with the game for the hours it lasted, and i dont regret my purchase. Yet for the next iteration or a DLC, i wish for more campaigns - The story in those is fun tho. The game doesnt deserve the "bad" reviews it gets, it is solid and superbly polished. I am looking forward to DLC or Pathway 2 ! It just isnt designed to burn 100h+, thats nothing bad!

Deus Ex 2: Invisible War

Good Game of its own

For a IP Fanboy this game might be a bit of a dissapointment. But if you can get behind that and look the game for what it is as a seperate instance, it is a very good and fun ride in a cyberpunkt setting. The UI shows that it was designed for consoles, yet i found the story interesting. It was, at least for me, like a spin off to the main franchise/storyline of DX. I didnt view'd it as a sequel, rather than a DX Flavoured RPG Shooter. It sports multiple ways of solving your tasks, and gives you the option to modify the weapons in a way that they suit your playstyle .Like a silenced Pistol that can disintegrate Glass and short circuits any alarm protecting it. Or a SMG that shoots EMP rounds. However, all weapons use the same ammo type, which is quiet a bummer at the beginning as it feels you dont want to use your shotgun because it wastes your precious pistol ammo and vice versa. But if you can get used to that, it is a good game of its own, not deserving the fanboy slamming it gets. TLDR: Good Game of its own, but might dissapoint Hardcore-Fans of the franchise. Take it as its own spin off and not of a se/prequel.
