This game can be a lot of fun, however as the title says it hasn't aged perfectly. The in mission interface doesn't show a lot of details and messages randomly repeat causing the player to not always get accurate information. Also the game does a poor job in notifying you that the mission has failed, sadly causing the player to keep going in a mission that has already been lost. Still despite it's flaws and older engine which cannot display a large amount of units on the map the second to second gameplay is quite fun and engaging. Worth playing as long as you understand that it is a bit rough around the edges.
I have owned this game on four different consoles, PS1, PS3, PS Vita and now PC, I have loved it on every one and is probably my most replayed game ever.
I loved this game when it was cataclysm and I love it now. My favorite Homeworld game.
Such a fun game, sadly it came a bit before the huge boom in on line multiplayer in my opinion. Could have been huge if it came out a few years later with more people having high speed internet.
