If you ever wanted a game to kick start your RPG collection then this is a great place to start. An amazing story, great game mechanics and Boo (you will find out about him latter). If you like the Forgotten Realms setting by Wizards of The Coast or even if you like Dragonlance then get this game (there are no Dragonlance references in THIS Baldur's Gate). Pick your gender, race, class, set your stats and away you go. The game is a top down perspective and you will eventually control a party of up to 5 (including your alt) characters with very different personalities. You click on a character, issue a command and away they go. You can pause the game and issue multiple commands during combat which leads to a lot of possibilities. The story is fantastic (real Forgotten Realms stuff here) and if you are a Forgotten Realms fan then I hope you enjoyed the Age of Strife (time of the Fallen Gods) story because this [picks up from where that left of. I own the CD version of this game and I had to write a review up for it here. You will be hard pressed to find a bad review on this game. Just be ready to have a large chunk of your spare time sucked away :)
