I supported this game on Kickstarter years ago, but never got around to playing it. Battle system is great, spritework and music are great, but the dialogue and characters are just too cringe for me to keep playing. There's only so much bad writing I can take from a story.
Absolutely stellar story that I played multiple times in a row over a period of nearly two months. I went and supported the Patreon cause I needed more.
Saw the trailer and was very intrigued. Looked right up my alley. But I ended up getting bored with it very quickly. The cloning gimmick is not fleshed out well and I've seen it used in other games a lot better with much more fulfilling puzzles. The puzzles aren't even that difficult. I put less than 2 hours into the game and I got to the 2nd to last level before quitting as it just wasn't holding my attention anymore. Another negative is the story. It's very bog standard evil corporation plot with nothing new to add to the table. The dialogue is also written to seem more witty than it actually is. Positives include the aesthetics. It has very nice sprite work with a great framerate. Sounds are all clear and punchy. The music is fitting as well. Some people will like this game for sure, but it's nothing impressive, especially for the price. I got it on sale for $6, but barely got any time or enjoyment out of it. It is a very short game.
