Scorn

Visual masterpiece

Just another walking simulator, but created world, environment and mood are real art. And end of story is quite suprising, player have to dig into the lore if he wants to understand what the hell happened there.

RimWorld

Superb

One of the best games I've ever played. 1600h+ and counting. Thanks to modding scene, possibilites are unlimited. The only downside is its engine wroking on one core. Heavy modded game is loading 7-8 minutes, and with big raid incoming (200+ enemies) it changes into turn strategy :)

Cyberpunk 2077

Technical aspect of this game is a joke

After so many years after release, devs didnt fix savegame file size limit. After crossing 12MB you can say adios to yours 250 hours of gameplay. And everybody think, that Bethesda game engine is a thrash. Go and make some games on 8bit systems, than return to developing on x64 systems. What is the problem with extending some stupid limits, or even create save editor and let players fix their own mess... All good things of this game are nullified by devs ignorance. Shame. EDIT Thanks to modding community, some good soul made a mod, that allowed to transfer your character into newgameplus, which solves problem with overfilling savefile. But devs just still dont care.

Ctrl Alt Ego

Puzzle game being mistaken for imm. sim

Nice indie game made with passion and limited resources. But comparing it with games like Deus Ex (org. and remakes) or Prey (immersive sims) is a mistunderstanding to say at least. No NPC interaction and no dialog choices, corridor-like level design made it just another puzzle game. I can get it as somekind low budget adaption of more expensive titles made by bigger devs, but i just dont like its retro style gfx, abstract robots and absurd physics. 3.5/5 but potential is there.

Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem

Fixing Serious Mess 4

I've almost lost hope after finishing SS4. SS3 was too bland for me in comparision with the best First and Second Encounter. Third part has some excellent music though. I cant remember any music track from 4th game, but here just in main menu OST rocks! Boring cinematics have been removed here and whole game dosnt look like made from Talos Principle assets. But anyway, I still prefer ancient temples over modern landscapes...

Serious Sam 4

WTF

How is this is possible, that such experienced developer as CROTEAM can't even put in own game normalized volume dialogues? Every other voice is or too loud, or too silent. I gave up after changing volume setting every two minutes... And they dont even care to fix it after YEARS after release.

System Shock

Disappointed

I love SS2, completed many times. I've never played first part, but watched few gameplays. This remake maybe is perfect for people who has played original, but for me it is not. Music is non-existant in comparision with original and audio logs are rather poorly played. You cant jump higher than 50 cm, and cant grab any ledge, any chair is an obstacle high as as a mountain. Yo cant unload and recycle weapons (?). AI of enemies is as about at level of Wolfenstein 3D. Whole game looks like from era of first XBOX, when devs has learnt about using 1st gen shaders - everything is so glossy and shiny, that it gives you headache. Especiallly VR levels and puzzles. I dont mind old mechanics used here, but come on. This should be made using System Shock 2 mechanics and feeling. I've reached 2nd level only and really have enough.
