Tribal Hunter

Eat your enemies

Yeah, it's clearly furry game with fetishes, but it also suprisingly good metroidvania. Size changing by eating food and enemies is interesting, good planed mechanic with great impact for whole gameplay and i liked how it works, but rest of the game is also solid. It also isn't overly long or complicated and difficulty level is just right to be challenging, but it isn't too hard. I think i would like more interesting platforming sections, because Tribal Hunter is more about dealing with enemies than jumping. Characters are pleasent to look and well drawed and colors are pleasently vivid, but enviroment isn't very detailed and it gives me more feeling of just video game levels than plausible locations. I liked music, it's really nice to listen. Well, plot is just ok, it is, it has some laughs, and characters are charming, but is isn't nothing special or engaging. Overall good and solid, but not awesome game.

En Garde!

Disappointment

I think there is room for swashbuckling game, but not like this. This game is looking and sounding nice from distant, but i changed opinion when i played. You get forgettable plot that really wants to be parody of classic motives and films and to make you laugh on every step, but it's missing miserably with its humour every time and cutscenes are just horrible. And gameplay is boring and clunky. I didn't feel fun from fights, collisions aren't great and camera can stuck. Thats few platforming sections for changing the pace are just simple, linear courses. Just disappointment.

Cavern of Dreams

Charming, but with issues

Cavern of Dreams is very charming 3D platformer with graphics being love letter to N64 times, ah, and you are playing as a little cute dragon. Often strange or wacky visuals, distorted by small number of poligons and stretched textures are strongest aspect of this game, because platforming itself, not so much. Gameplay is very clunky with bad camera control, hit detection and rather bugged controls. And it capture very well how infuriating were water levels in early 3D platformers. It exploratory platformer and there is some pleasure in searching collectibles, but often i was confused what i should to do next. And i can't say that i like music here. So, nice game, but with issues, you can play it when you want some retro style 3d platforming, but there are better games like this out there.
