First-Person Rollenspiel, mag ich nicht so besonders. 2 Party-Member zum Player character, mag ich sehr. Obsidian produziert schon lange gute Computer Rollenspiele, so auch The Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice. Die Figuren sind angenehm überzeichnet, das sorgte schon für einige Lacher bei mir. Gekostet hat das Spiel mich 15€. Ein Super Sonderangebot ohne Haken.
Ich spiele die NextGen Version von 2024 auf dem PC. Fallout 4 ist für mich ein echtes RPG mit Story und mit Mini Party (zwei Spielfiguren). Von den SPECIAL Skills sind S und E weniger wichtig, die anderen sollten auf 8 oder mehr gebracht werden. Die wichtigsten perks sind riflemen, grim reaper sprint, sneak, action boy und ninja für VATS sniper Spielweise sowie medic für Heilung.
I remember Wiz 7 DOS very well. I had the german translation. And the text parser was broken. No translation of "any rumours". A very nice game, but you could not finish it in the translation. Wiz 7 Gold is new for me - the speech output has low quality today, but the - still too colorful - graphics are the same. And the rattkin bandits ambush kills again my party. But now the important Wiz7 Gold on Windows 10 stuff: Right click on the Icon, select "Behandeln von Kompatibilitätsproblemen". In the popup window select "Empfohlene Einstellungen testen". In the next popup window click button "Programm testen...". These clicks give you mouse and keyboard input. Have fun and say hello to the space chick in the red rocket! Only 4 points out of 5 because the game is DIFFICULT. And the rolling of dice to get good characters is still a waste of time.
I have the original CD set of Blade runner DVD and Blade runner game. You can call me a fan :-) My first idea was: the original game had its quirks, I do not want to buy it again. But I hope that this version is a little different. The problem with reaction games is always: does the reaction game run well only on the developer PC with its CPU having this MHz value and that OS, or does the reaction game run well on many PCs. I hope somebody made the reaction games work on many PCs. I buy it again!
Vampire the Masquarade - Bloodlines is the best single player cRPG I know. And I am a long time cRPG fan. You are a vampire and you are many vampires. The classes in this game are really different. Play a warrior (Brujah) or play a crazy bitch or a vampire noble or an real ugly guy (Nosferatu). It is always the same story, but you have to adapt your play style to the character. I bought VtM - Bloodlines again on GOG because it is so damned cheap as Xmas 2018 sale. Do a good deed, support the blood suckers at Xmas and get your own copy!
This is a Wizardry title between Wizardry 7 and 8. You have 6 party members. At start you can only select between the 4 archetypes warrior, rogue, priest and wizard. Later you can change to mixed class characters like paladin as warrior+priest. In 2018 I play W&W the first time, after playing Wiz8 many times for many years. It is very familiar. W&W is more real-time then Wiz8 is, but I think I can tune it to turn-based. One ugly thing is in W&W as in Wiz7: there is a random component in the points you get at character creation or level-up. Thank god this table-top left over is not in Wiz8.
Wizardry 8 is a wonderful cRPG for me. It has turn-based fights with randomly re-spawning monsters. Every play-through is a little different. And the many races and professions allow a lot of min-maxing for more fun at the next play-through. As an old school cRPG it gives no hints in-game about character creation, level-up or fight choreography. The explanation of the game mechanics in the manual is vague and incomplete. But - surprise, surprise - here is finally the simple game mechanics guide. I present a beginners party and all the spells and knowledge that you need to make it to Arnika without grinding on difficulty level Normal. See in GOG forum Wizardry series, Wizardry Game Mechanics (Spoiler) entry. Why only 4 points? The graphics could be better. See Outcast from 1999 and Longest Journey from 2000 for better graphics. And specially Vampire Bloodlines: The Masquarade. But this a a year 2004 game.
Pillar of Eternity and PoE II Deadfire can be played as walk and talk computer RPG. I like this very much. The Beast of Winter DLC offers only a combat and puzzle way. This smaller freedom of choice is very well executed. If you prefer combat in RPG you can add a point to my rating. The hardware requirements are the same as for Deadfire. You need 8GByte of RAM.
