Game was too buggy to even run on my computer and I've been waiting for a reply from GOG's support team for over a week on the status of my refund. I wish I had of bought this game on Steam instead. I would have already had the money in my bank account by now. Probably the last game I get on GOG. What a joke.
This DLC isn't too bad. The story is kind of interesting. The content is pretty short. I finished it in about 7 or so hours and I was taking my time. The companions you get kind of suck which makes the last dungeon annoying. All in all I'd recommend it if you can get it at about half price. I don't think it's worth the 15 CAD I paid for it.
The game has a lot to like if you're into old school turn based RPG's. The art is nice, the sound assets are okay and the story is your usual fantasy stuff. The main problem I had with the game was the weird difficulty spikes they placed in the game to pad out the length. You breeze through the first third of the game and that was great but then I reached a dungeon where the enemy levels jumped up sharply and I was forced to back to lower level dungeons I already comleted and farm till I could fight with out getting annihilated. This happened with two other dungeons in the game and is a bit jarring since up till that point you're managing to be on par or higher than most of the enemies. If you don't mind a lot of redoing old dungeons and grinding then this game is a very fun RPG.
This game is a hidden gem. It seamlessly mixes action combat with match-four puzzles. The games art is pretty nice for what it is, the sound is meh and the story is silly but fun. Where it shines most though is in the game play. If you like puzzle games then this is a great buy. If you aren't big on puzzles or matching games then the action combat sequences are a nice break. All in all the game is a super fun indie title that most people will enjoy.
This is a very enjoyable Diablo-esque ARPG. It has a lot of nice convenience features like being able to teleport back to town, no mystery equipment and no equipment degradation. You also have a lot of variety in how you build your character. I haven't had any issues with bugs. My only gripe is that the graphics aren't that great and I have a hard time identifying things in the jumbled background environments. The game looks more like Diablo 2 than Diablo 3. Still the game is fun and is pretty cheap. If you want a good Diablo clone then this one is a great buy.
This one is a gem. A nice relaxing farming game with some combat, crafting, puzzle solving and exploration thrown together into a superb package. I can't imagine anyone would regret picking this game up since the price is reasonable and the game is very enjoyable. Definitely a good pick up for any gamer. It's also a good game for kids.
This game had a horrible, buggy launch but the dev team has been trying to fix the game since then. There are a lot of things that old school CRPG players are going to like in this game. Of all the CRPG's released in the last couple of years I think I've enjoyed this one the most (that includes Divinity Original Sin 2 which is a better game but not imho a funner game). The only problems with the game are the bugs and some minor balancing issues. The balance issues can be fixed with mods or setting difficulty down to lower settings. The bugs are the main problem and there are a fair number of them. So far, knock on wood, I haven't had a game crash but I have experienced a fair number of graphical issues and other weird problems. Also some of the quests maybe not working properly. This game would be an easy 5/5 if not for the bugs. If you're looking for a really fun CRPG then this is a good pick up especially if you can get it on sale. You do need to have some tolerance for bugs and some patience. Also save often.
I remember fondly playing the original back on the Sega Genesis and I succumbed to nostalgia and picked this game up. Mutant League Football was one of my favorite games and a true classic. It'd probably still hold up if you could find it on an emulator. The new game? Not so much. There are a fair number of issues I experienced in the hour or so I played it. For the sake of others who might get swept away with fond feelings of nostalgia I'll break down my experiences. Graphics: It's pretty bad. The players models are crude and blocky. Game looks like it was made in the early 2000's. Music/Sound Effects: The music and sound effects seemed fine. However the games announcer is pure liquid cancer. He's so annoying that I couldn't keep playing. I mean he's seriously bad. He does these stupid voices constantly, the jokes are horrible and repeated ad nauseum and the commentary is omnipresent throughout the game. Gameplay: It felt a bit off to me but wasn't broken. It does the job but won't wow any one. I didn't experience any bugs or crashes. The game is probably closer to a 3 star game for people who never played the originals, very meh, but I gave it a 2 because it wasn't what I was hoping for and the announcer was really getting on my nerves. I'd suggest watching a Youtube lets play video (if one exists) before you buy the game.
How much you're going to like this game is going to come down to how much you like millenial SJW characters and writing. There is almost no game play, the art is okay and the music is fine. However most of the experience is reading the graphic novel. For a game about finding a date to the prom I found I hated all the characters. This game was really not for me. After playing for about twenty minutes I got tired of the writing and just clicked my way to the end and picked a random paramour. This game is definetly an aquired taste and some will like it a lot and vibe with the characters and others will not. If you like social justice naratives then you'll probably enjoy this game.
