Give it a try - I really enjoyed it. I tried out various squad combinations which was really fun. do remember that for certain areas you will need a certain character class such as a priest to dispel or a kingsman to open locked gates. I found nearly all of the lvl 19 epic armor recipes except for my main character which was a ranger. So I ended up fighting the boss with 3 followers with epic armor and my main with the normal armor. I also never found a golden bow recipe above lvl 15. Crafting gives you the best weapons / armor so make sure to use it . Recomended
This sets the standard for all turn-based strategy games. Its greatly enhanced by 'war of the chosen' also consider using 'long war 2' addon for significantly enhanced and longer campaign. I also used a mod called 'Remove Weapon Upgrades' to be able to reuse weapon mods without worrying about getting a continent bonus. This is especially useful early on in the geame with limited weapon upgrades and resources. Highly recommended
