The people behind Cuphead have absolutely outdone themselves with this expansion pack. While the fights in The Delicious Last Course are comparaitively few in number they are all excellent and memorable while Miss Chalice offers a new playstyle that makes her a blast to play as. Combine this with the $7.99 regular asking price and this DLC is practically a steal! Here is a First Impressions video I've done showing the game in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEGy9xm8JDE
Punk Wars is basically what you would get if Civilization was a post-apocalyptic title with the various civs being based on various types of techpunk. That said Punk Wars is much faster paced as the cities, industry, tech, and units are made much faster. In addition there is no diplomacy meaning you can't form even temporary alliances to crush a faction. All of that said, the game does use it's unique setting well and I believe it is worth the asking price. I have made a video with gameplay footage for those curious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYmNAvKi1fg
Believe it or not Zombie Dinos From Planet Zeltoid is actually an educational game that uses it's bizarre premise as a means to teach people about dinosaurs. The combination of the cheesy FMVs, the premise, and the cheap price makes the game worth it in my opinion. That said the mouse cursor is a little off so keep that in mind. I have made a first impressions video for those who want to see this game in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gy1JBqzhLOY
This game is one of the best sandbox titles ever made, so it is worth the asking price. That said make sure to either turn off Decals in the settings or try applying the fix linked below. I also made a video showing the game for you in case you are curious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfG5sUomKk8 The Fix: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Just_Cause_2#Possible_crash_fix
The original Blood Omen Legacy of Kain can best be described as a Zelda clone with horror elements and some jank. That said, it is an easy recommendation and a lot of fun. I've made a video showing off the game for those curious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QL3iPZcP4mI
While this game has some weird choices in the form of the controls and while the missions have a habit of being too short, it nevertheless still manages to be fun and given the $3 asking price it is an easy recommendation from me. For those curious I have made a video showing it off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypstH8TTXYo
I do want to say first of all that what this DLC does provide is pretty nice, the new mission types are solid enough to feel fresher than they should and the campaign missions and new biomes are not bad either. Unfortunately this DLC does not have any new Mechs (only new variants of existing Mechs). This combined with the $20 asking price and a few bugs are enough for me to not recommend picking it up unless you can get it on sale. Here is a first impressions video I made on this DLC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ayf3XUpXmk
This game is notably larger and takes a more open level design approach with some ideas even borrowed from Monster Hunter of all things (like the hub village that you go to in between missions). That said there are a few gameplay differences between this and the first Aragami. While the original Aragami was far more purist in the approach to stealth gameplay, this game gives you a fighting chance in the event that you actually get caught. That said it is still very much a stealth game at it's core, and despite the janky nature of it at times I'd have to give a recommendation. While the Comanche franchise from Novalogic could be best described as Sim-lite, this game is a full on arcade action game. That said, it is at least fun even if the first 2 levels are too long. Here is my First Impressions video for those curious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI-96JGThUk
