Fear 2 is suprisingly good FPS. Yes it's not first Fear but considering the ending of it this sequel did pretty good job. Most important thing is that the vibes are still there and the camaign is more varied and shorter. As for the negatives, combat changed in worse part in every way. From feel to guns and enemy designs. Also lightning change is debatable. Luckily the game still retained the samey but less scary vibe of the first one. Though I think OG lighting would have make this game look and feel better. Also it's shame that Monolith did not make the 3rd part since this game ends on cliffhanger.
Pretty much this game looks ans plays incredible. Enemy AI is refreshing. The levels while samey brings realism to the game. My only complain would be that ending was weakest part and in general game could have been a bit shorter because some levels overstayed their welcome. Nonetheless atmosphere of this game is outstanding.
Dunno. Deus Ex has great story, but gampeplay and missions are definetly dated. Here are too much past era frustrating elements that started to go after Half Life 2. Sequels are much better, Even though yes they have problem of too much vents, but at least basic gameplay elements are not frustrasting. Though I'll give credit for what it did back then. Story and characters are great and memorable.
Classic FPS with oldschool vibes. Kind of like Goldeneye 64. Game is hard though and stealth sections are very annoying. But level design is interesting and gunplay holds up suprisingly well.
Final act of this game is great, mostly because then prior frustrating combat sections become easy then. Everything before third act besides combat is also great. Luckily final act is very well executed and ends this game on high note. And graphics (mostly art style) has aged surprisingly well. Story also is nice and fun.
