The Life of a Magical Circle

Interesting concept / horrible controls

I just can't get used to the controls. You simply steer the circle avatar by moving the mouse, but it has so much inertia that you need to steer drastically into the opposite dircetion to just slow down. You can adjust the sensivity on the fly with your mouse wheel, butthe movement is still is so annoying and makes the game way more diffcult than it should be in my opnion. Also: no controller support for some reason, even though start and A button do things. Is it so hard to implement controller support these days?

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk

great spiritual successor of JSR :)

tl;dr Bomb Rush Cyberfunk isn't perfect, but it is a blast to play and successfully captures the spirit of the two Jet Set Radio games. This is indeed the spiritual successor we were waiting for. Finally after 20 years !! positives: -"JET SET RADIOOO !!!" vibes are strong -killer soundtrack -soooo stylish -gameplay is fun, but not especially challenging -platforming combined with small degress of classic extreme sports games mixes up the classic JSR formula by a notch -interesting story and likeable charakters -runs on a potato negatives (none of these are game breaking): -the game does not do a good job at explaining certain things -changing characters and gear is a little tedious (you don't have to do this though) -levels are emptier than in the older games (less pedestrians & interactive/destructible objects) -no graffiti editor (maybe someone can figure out how to swap the graffiti with .pngs?) -no Radio DJ for narration
