Congrats on the 1.0 release, everyone! I've been playing the game for awhile now in early access over on Steam, and only found out about the GOG release recently. It's very unlikely in my eyes that we'll see Peggle or any of it's direct relatives on here, so I'm very glad that Peglin made it. It stands on it's own, even without Peggle behind it!
Popped off HARD when I saw this on GOG, then cursed because I've already dumped way too much money into the summer sale. Played a good chunck at a friends place and watched cutscenes for the rest. Needless to say very happy I can properly own it now.
Can't believe I've bought this thing like four times and it's only cost me a fraction of a fraction of a AAA priced game. As of writing it's currently on sale for 1.09 CAD, which is absolutely insane to me. I call it the perfect mobile game because of the form factor of that kind of device and how well it synchronizes with the game's downwards platforming, but I prefer flipping my monitor on the side and playing this version of the game in Tate Mode, enabled in the settings. Give it a go, worst case scenario you haven't really lost anything if you dislike it
Dishonoured: Definitive Edition is one of the highest-effort games I've played in a very long time. The level design is incredible. If the transitions were removed, the levels were on a scope that I would expect from a game THIS year, not 12 years ago. The transitions weren't even that much of an issue as they all loaded instantly on my SSD. I don't usually like to avoid combat when given the choice, but despite the great combat system I felt compelled to take that route in this game because of the creative and fun solutions that were ALWAYS offered. The AI was also much smarter than I expected going in blind, there were a few moments where they managed to catch me off guard and I had to reset. My biggest problem with the combat (and frankly, the entire game) was the lack of a non-lethal combat option, even if it was painfully difficult to use. I'm writing this review after my first time completing the story (low chaos route), and in retrospect I would have payed full price for the game. Getting it DRM-Free here on GOG for 75% off feels like highway robbery haha. Cannot recommend enough
