Ignore the other "reviews" and buy this
What a brilliant purchase and (atm) for only a few quid. It's a massive D&D RPG with a ton of quests etc/etc/etc. I'm only upto Chap 2 and it's breathtakingly superb!!! Loving this :)

What's with the cult following?
I've been an active member of the Neverwinter Community for years - I've made plenty of custom modules, models, scripts, spells and visual effect. And after all this time I still CANNOT comprehend why so many people prefer NWN1 over NWN2... The OC plot is unbearably boring... While it has its moments, I found myself licking through the exposition dialogues more often than not. I understand that not every RPG can achieve the level of e.g. Torment, but it's never a good sign that after the final boss you yell "Jesus Christ, finally!". The side quest design in't that stellar either... Especially given how many times I unknowingly sold a plot item to a merchant, which costed me potential XP. Some of the items have plot flags on and cannot be sold, but some don't There's also plenty of technical issues: the auto-walk on click gave an aneurysm a couple of times. I also had some issues with corrupted save files that crashed the game. Oh and by the way - the money Beambog charges for the EE is bonkers. Don't buy it.

Бимдоги рулят
Ossian Studios в своё время делали Darkness Over Daggerford как премиум, но биотвари по каким-то причинам прекратили поддержку премиум-модулей. В итоге биотвари кинули разработчиков премиум-модулей. Ossian Studios у себя на сайте выложили в открытый доступ модуль бесплатно. Он сразу же завоевал большую популярность и входит в зал славы лучших модулей для NWN1. Конечно модуль имеет недоработки. Но, теперь благодаря бимдогам NWN1 перерождается. В рамках их проекта Ossian Studios обновила Darkness Over Daggerford и теперь он с сотнями исправлениями. Теперь благодаря бимдогам они будут получать прибыль с продажи своего модуля и у них в планах делать новые модули. Всё что они планировали раньше им не дали сделать биотвари. Я очень благодарен бимдогам, за то что они делают. Ведь нас будт ждать новые модули как от бимдогов, Ossian Studios и др. разработчиков. Конечно не всё идёт гладко как хотелось, но факт на лицо. Достойным играм достойные дополнения.

Horrible.
One of the games I hated the most back then. I was a huge fan of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2. So, I was very hyped for NWN. But it turned out a huge disappointment. It looked worse (WAAAAAY worse) than BG, with that ugly forced 3D graphics just because it was hip at the time, it played worse (camera problems being the worst offender), the writing was subpar and the story... I don't even remember the story. Its only redeeming quality was the creation tool... I think, because I wasn't interested in that. Terrible game, avoid.

I can't even get Enhanced Edition to run on my computer. Something to do with Intel graphics cards I guess. My Diamond Edition runs just fine though, so I'll keep playing that instead.
