One of my all time favorites, still good
Take elements from Operation Flashpoint and Hitman, set it in WW2, and throw in a VERY diverse set of missions. Boom! Best WW2 shooter ever made with great combat. The AI isn't the best, but there aren't any other negative aspects of this game. Don't wait for a sale, buy it now.

Legendary
Everything about this game was well thought out and implemented, and worked faultlessly. 11 out of 10, without doubt. Graphics were good for its day and are still OK but if you're looking at pixels, you've missed the genius. This was the most satisfying game I have ever played because I was brought into the game. If only this series had a case of sequelitis! I might be buying H&D 9: Baghdad or Bust. More user friendly than Operation Flash point, more cerebral than Call of Duty (the originals) this game had a very welcoming feel, and a very English stiff upper lip. Be every British officer you've ever seen in films. With splodes.

A little dated, but good
Finally got normal widescreen fixed on this via Proton in Lutris and the widescreen fix found here: https://thirteenag.github.io/wfp#hd2 For Lutris users, add the the DLL override d3d8.dll and the value n,b and this will force it to use the dll provided in the widescreen patch. Note I did try UWD 21:9, but at 3840x1600 you start to get some fisheye look to it, so I backed it off to a 16:9 aspect ratio. Anyway, fun game if you like sneaking around and blowing things up. Thumbs up.

They broke the mould when this was made
There’s only a few true tactical fp/3rd person milsims that allow full sandbox control. This was so far ahead of its time. You could set up stealth attacks, ambushes or go solo. Place your squad anywhere either on the map or direct commands and control any one of them individually. They even call out sightings and targets. One command press and they all open fire! Scavenge weapons,ammo etc. It’s packed with replayable missions as they will always play out differently. The only sim that captured this again for me was the original Operation Flashpoint.

One of the best Czech game
Okay I am so glad this is finally getting released in a digital form as the original DVD is getting too scratched. What is this game? It is tactical shooter, Player can freely switch between 1st and 3rd person as well as flying tactical view. Game can be paused at any time to switch to tactical view to add or freely modify orders to the soldiers using detailed waypoints to coordinate your soldiers. You can freely switch between your soldiers and issue detailed commands through rather intuitive menu, but they have to be in earshot. Missions are various from wild rides through mined deserts, assaults on airports ambushes of convoys, supporting allies or infiltration into Austrian castles. Maps are decent sized large enough offering many different playthroughs and routes to victory. Enemies are not the cleverest but not completely dumb they will try to get to cover and get reinforcements they can give you huge challenge as every bullet can kill your soldier and you always have to thing forward of what to take with you. Overall this is one of the best games I have ever played and replayed I haven't still found replacement for this and I would early love a successor. If you want a very good and challenging game go for it. Highly recommended.
