If you liked Wizardry 7 I feel safe saying you will also like this game. I absolutely loved it.

Why all the high scores?
I am not sure how this game gets such high marks. You would think from the description it would be complex / deep. It seemed like it was except for the fact I couldn't read much of the information on the screen, font was way too small. I tried various windows and compatibility settings, but it didn't help much. Luckily GOG was kind enough to give me a credit. Maybe in the future this will be fixed but even then I am not sure I will repurchase because it seemed overly bloated and try to do too much for a game of its type.

Big Missed Opportunity
I was expecting a Widardry Classic with modern UI and controls. Both are just as aged as wizardry 4. Too tedious. I really wanted to like it.

Great game
This old school blobber is great, Seperate the art from the artist, and if you are a fan of this style of RPG you will not be dissapointed.

Just not fun
I remember this from decades ago. I was blown away when I saw it listed here. It's been so long I forgot about out it. I immediately purchased it. Unfortunately, it's just not fun. Random encounters, poor story, everything about it is more tedious than fun.
