Recommended for purchase at low prices
A candy level game with a flow of about 4 hours that will give you a fun half day. Although it may have a single gameplay and a slightly tedious flow, he's short! The reversal at the end is pretty funny though.

The ultimate B-movie homage game
Recommended for every fan of 50s-70s schlock. The Deadly Tower of Monsters is not that amazing of a game, but it is very unique, has amazing visuals and audio while also featuring amusing commentary by the 'director' of the imaginary movie. The game's biggest innovation is probably the eponymous tower, which is a continuous structure and can be jumped off at any time (encouraged to find secret areas, collectibles and powerups). Other than that it is a decent action game that will keep you entertained for 5-6 hours, if you are able to forgive its slightly clunky controls and isometric-view platforming.

Well Executed Charm
This game's primary selling point is its ability to sell the experience as director commentary on an old B-Move being remastered for DVD release. It does that extremely well, and everything else competently enough. The storyline is a self deprecating, fourth wall breaking 1970s era sci-fi movie claptrap that serves as a paper thin veil to throw as many monsters at the screen as the fictional budget allows, but the story itself is just a canvas for the director commentary which sees the director talk about how much of a visionary he is, how his terrible employment practices were TOO fair when you thought about it, and how his actors were egomaniacal talentless hacks. The graphics at first blush look "off", but that's because the live actors are animated in a manner while the monsters are animated to look like they're stop-motion movie props which is a nice touch. Trees have a silky smooth sheen to them because they're plastic props, and when the actor destroys giant boulders they deflate like balloons. They did a great job selling the experience. As for everything else, it's fine but not great. The gameplay is smooth but simplistic and easy, and it largely serves as a way to engage the player without getting in the way of the rest of the experience. If that's a fair trade-off for you then it will be right up your alley.
