The Setting
For hundreds of years, people have lived in the safety of underground settlements and villages – where the only route to the surface is “Tangledeep,” a mysterious and ever-changing labyrinth. With memories of the surface world long forgotten, you set out for the labyrinth to discover what lies above. With each floor – full of magical beasts, ancient automatons, bizarre environments and hybrid biomes – the mystery grows ever deeper…

..beginners like me. Enough settings if you are experienced enough and want a bigger challenge . Typical jrpg story but interesting game mechanics like the item dreams and monster taming. Awesome cozy music. The game is overall somehow cozy. I found it had a lot of replayability, and even without the 2 dlc's I had over 300 hrs on Steam logged. I played it with the mouse only and could lay back :)
Nice class system and even a pet system akin to Azure Dreams. My Frog pet and I are having a fun adventure! The graphics are charming and the OST is 10/10 also.
This game is awesome! I compare it to Dungeons of Dredmor in only the fact that it's a rogue lite just like DoD. However, there's an awesome story to this game, a very in deph job class system, monster taming, and just so much stuff I don't even know where to begin with this game! It helps that it gives off a very classic vibe to it in a great way. It's not just bit sprites because labeled old school. It's FREAKING art in sprites! Play it in Heroic mode because that's how games like these are best played when you have a sort of progression even when you fail.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
