Masterpiece

This game is a randomly generated platform game. You impersonate a hero and you have to go around in the world defeating monsters, avoiding traps and facing level bosses. The gameplay reminds a bit of "Wonder boy in Mosterland", but the character progression does not happen through the game itself. Instead, when your character dies, you are sent back to the castle when you can use the gold you collected to improve the skills of the next character or unlock new abilities, classes, etc. Overall the gameplay is superb, as the experience is challenging, addicting and rewarding. I really recommend it to everybody who likes old school platform games.

Great Title from Celler Door Games!

Super fun rouge-lite thats kept me hooked for weeks. Too many things that hit the mark for this side-scrolling adventurer to mention but I'll say it is challenging and has an air of mystery that is endearing. I love the devs naming of the enemies and their sense of humor throughout an otherwise dark story. Easy to pick up, hard to put down, difficult to master

amazing game

Wow! What an amazing indie game. Never thought that it's so motivating slashing hard enemy's, to level up characters. Got it in a sale and wished I'd paid more for this grandious game and its developers. I really LOVE it, even I spend just 2 hours now with it.

Absolutely amazing platformer!!!

The last time I enjoyed a platformer this much I was eight and playing donkey country 3. The game is randomized and difficult, but every death is rewarding because it means another chance with an improved character. Controls are intuitive and responsive, the sounds track is great. My only regret is that the amount of content will not outlast the appeal, I'm almost lvl 300 have everything the game has to offer and I still find myself dungeon crawling a few more times. I wish there was more to do in the game but that's only after 30+ hours. Its well worth full price, and if you find it on sale you'd be crazy NOT to buy it.

Brilliant!

Rogue Legacy combines frantic Ghost n' Goblins style combat and platforming with solid random dungeon generation. The main hook of each run through the dungeon being done with a randomized descendant keeps things fresh, encouraging you to try the full variety of classes and see how the many different combinations of traits might advantage or disadvantage you. Unlike many games that carry the Rogue banner, here there are clever progression and loot systems to ensure that even failed runs advance your character, if only a little bit. Difficulty is right in the sweet spot, providing a suitable challenge from the beginning to end and through as many new game plus runs as your heart desires. This is an immensely enjoyable game. Easy to pick up and play for just 20 minutes, just as easy to lose yourself in for hours if you have the time. Highly recommended.
