Renowned Explorers: International Society

Surprisingly fun and different, compared to other brutal roguelite titles. RNG is still present but can be overcome by choosing and training carefully the party members. Many difficulty settings available. Background music is nice bet gets repetitive very quick. Some user interface elements and tooltips are too small. Negatives: food supply in the beginning is way too low. Understandable that they aimed at map replayability, but its severely short in resources nonetheless. Some random battles are more difficult then boss battles.

I picked this up on sale a week or so ago and have logged 40 or 50 hours into it. It's a great combination of strategy, tactics, and roguelike. So much replayability, so very addictive. Absolutely buy this and enjoy the hell out of it.

A unique and charming game which takes a rogue-like Rpg attitude with turn-based-tactical combat to a new level with changing moods and emotions that influence the effects and reactions of your action with a combat that can range between an all-out fight that leaves all beaten and bloody or a hugging festival where everyone leaves as friends. These truly dynamic situations and a enormous range of possible encounters and ways to resolve them add to the story of your party and make you care for your characters. A lovely art style, wonderful sense of humor and a large range of difficulty options (though ramping up significantly per adventure) give this a lot of replay value.

I've played Renowed Explorers for about 60 hours. + It is quite innovative and captivates you. Wonderful graphics. Includes funny stuff. - However, it gets boring at some point. Events remain the same on each card, just in different order. Which is especially fatal as the game is very text-heavy. At some point you click most events away, looking for events you didn't come across yet, until eventually nothing new happens any more... Which is a pity as some characters remain unlocked at this stage... = All in all a soild game, neither too easy nor too difficult. As far as I know there is nothing comparable available.

This game is pretty fun there is a lot of colorful and fun characters i don't feel like i chose race-swap diversity card like in blizzard games, but actual character There is a lot of quirky and funny mechanics Entire game is done around Rock papper scizor playing as pacifist is perfectly viable BAD: RNG bullshit - game have seed-based rng % chances for everything which makes game feel like playing slot machines rather than actual game - kind of like EA games xDDDD When my character have survival at level 2 and goes to area at level 2 and there is survival check, i should just BYPASS whole % thing... but NO, slot rulette every single time if you think this increase engagement or makes game more fun, it does not! you quit-out ASAP when you see you are failing and select to not go for it this basically turn the game into minesweeper with 30 quits in middle of dungeon might as well quit the game all together since everything is RNG and losing bcs rng sucks Game have annoying ads about new game you must buy or other things you must click with links inside mine menu to some shady websites i don't wanna visit this is super scummy and completely hold the game down There is a lot of repetition even in most basic actions, its acceptable, but when half of the game is ragequit rng lottery having to buy agents, do performance, buy agents, take inventory, spend rest of the resources just for another day in this randomness, its too much MY ADVICE: its good to try on sale, but play something where you have 0/1 skill checks or 0/1 and random when you have no skill required... game have like 0 mods and community feels inactive Developers themselves already got your money and move to another project they advertise in main menu...
