The Hardest Game I've Ever Played

Without a single doubt, I can say that this is the hardest game I've ever played. In my opinion, IO Interactive had no definitive idea about this game, because really, if it wasn't for 47, it wouldn't be a Hitman game. For those like me who had only played Blood Money (regarding Classic Hitman I mean), don't expect something like that. This is a REALLY DIRTY game, I don't know how else to describe it. The controls are terrible, especially for a NON PC gamer like me. However, it's really nice and satisfying to complete a mission in the best way possible, something that took me more than 30 hours of gameplay to do it. What else... For me it's a Good Old Game, but unfortunately it has aged like milk. Well, who cares! It will always have a great charm.

Diamond in the Rough

If you've played later entries in this franchise but not yet this it definitely will take some adjusting as there were a number of things they hadn't quite ironed out yet. With that said there is a lot to love here and you can very clearly see the early beginnings of some of the stuff they mastered later especially by Blood Money. One thing to keep in mind is that there are levels in this game that you simply can't complete remaining stealthy and ghosting your way through the entire time and some frustration is experienced just by trying to figure out which ones. It's one of those that is more enjoyable on replay once you know what is expected of you in the various levels. It doesn't quite have the openness to you discovering your own solutions as later entries do and I wish that they had been more honest with themselves about that because there are multiple times in this where you'll come across something and it'll look like an alternative solution but it's unworkable. This does fair pretty well with the gradual drip feed of the backstory in a series that sometimes struggles to provide a compelling plot. A little too much of the time the game is basically you figuring out what you're meant to do and then just do it. This is also one of those early IO Interactive titles where for some reason they were married to this thing of weapon recoil that I can imagine is accurate to real life but is frustrating in games where even a single missed shot can mean failure and having to do a bunch of stuff over again. I really wish they had opted for the kind of focus aim that we saw not that many years after this came out but even if you're standing still taking your time to aim you might miss. The weapon selection is quite good and I cannot hate a game where if you feel confident that you only need one bullet and one specific gun it 100% allows you to buy exactly that and only that and save money for later. It just makes you feel like a complete badass.

Reminds me of the times I was still in school, living with my mom, playing this with my buddies. Those were good times. I miss my friends.

A rough classic worth trying

Hitman: Codename 47 is an interesting game to play, but not a fun one to complete. I completed some of the first levels but had to follow a guide to do so because there is no indication whatsoever, I am not saying that this is a bad design choice, it is interesting to force the player to explore and find ways to find objectives, objects and different ways to assassinate targets. But in a world where even games focusing on exploration give you some guidance to objectives, we could say that this game has not aged well. However, the game can be found on a low price on stores, so it might be interesting to check it out as it's the first installment of a classic series.

Archaiczna gra. Lepiej zagrać w Hitman2

Jest to oczywiście pierwsza część niesamowitych gier i chciałem zagrać pierwszy raz bo kiedyś mi nie działała. Niestety gra ma strasznie dużo archaicznych pomysłów, przez które nie wiadomo jak progresować. Skoro dla czwartej misji po trzech łatwych nagle nie można kupić potrzebnej broni z tłumikiem, bo coś nie tak wg gry źle zrobiłeś w poprzedniej. Przy drobnym alarmie gra odpala alarm który blokuje windę na piętro, blokuje dostęp do wymaganego obiektu. Czyli rdzeń rozgrywki jest może i prosty i dobry, ale te problemy to coś z czym można utknąć.
