F.E.A.R. Platinum

while i cant top what most of the reviews are saying i can however say how i put thousands of hours into this game. Back when the multiplayer was still up and my dozens of runs through the campaign, at least twice a year i have to pick it up again to see if i can still finish it without dying. Sadly it's true that the game falls off after the first game+expansions, the 2nd is okay and 3rd gets rather CoD-ish but even so are worth playing to continue the story and still give plenty of entertainment. I think its that time of year i finish all 3 in 1 evening again.

So i bought this game in a bundle with its prequel and the 2 addons. I played the first game for like 15h on hard and reached the epilogue. The grahics aged well and still look good today, meaning they don t give you cancer but they are what they are. The gameplay is very good, nice shooter mechanics, crazy good ai, good choice of weapons, overall really good! You can even sneak a lot of encounters and have fun with the mines, grenades and remote explosions. I think this game alone is well worth 15€, its a really nice mix of horror/scare aspects with good shooter mechanics.

FEAR 1 was and still is an amazing shooter. Supert shooting effects and feeling, with slow motion and smart A.I. The sequels are not that great. But still worth a playthrough

This is the best mix of action and horror in a game, I haven't seen done it this good in another games. The game is very linear (like most old games) but that doesn't affect the amazing combats in this game. The IA in this game beats most of the modern games. Totally worth it.

This game is excellent shooter. Really. AI is good. People are saying that you should mod it before you play it... they are probably right. I haven't played it since 2006... hmmm... Bioshock again or this again...
