underrated at the time
MI4 was always the odd child out of the MI series and for good reason. They opted for low poly, low detail 3d over the bar setting 2d pixel art of the previous entries in what feels like a decision made entirely by the LucasArts marketing department much to the chagrin of fans of the series. Apart from that obvious misstep there's still much to love, if you can get past the dated visuals. Apart from all that, I mostly wanted to let people know that it works with ResidualVM, a standalone interpreter for games that used the LucasArts 3D engine (Grim Fandango and MI4, most notably). That means native Linux and Mac support! You have to workaround some file structure differences, but it's super easy. Left details in an issue here: https://github.com/residualvm/residualvm/issues/1451
