A great game, good for hardcore gamers.
It's a great game with good decisions and great combat too. I recommend it for the Fanatical and Hardcore gamers such as myself and, it's DRM-free. I hope the Enhanced Edition is more optimized than the Original The Witcher 2.

Best RPG Ever
In my opinion one of the greatest RPG ever. 10/10.First Witcher was great too and this one is alson masterpiece. Hail to the CD Project Red, to their politic of free DLC and no anoying anti-piracy protections. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to Witcher 3.

By far not as good as Witcher 1
I was really disappointed by that game. It is a solid action RPG, but not comparable to the superior first Witcher game. Everything makes you feel like the game was badly ported from a console. Inventory is a joke. Many weapons and armors you do not need at any point of the game. Most items are just trash. The main quest story is quite interesting, I always wanted to know what's behind those assassinations, but it fells off late game. Side quests are boring (with a few exceptions), there are no interesting stories behind them, like it often used to be in W1. Fighting at easy difficulty is just a necessary waste of time, on harder difficulties it can become a pain in the ***, frustrating and not rewarding at all after you beat the enemies, because you don't need the stuff the're dropping. The story and quests feel much more linear than used to be. All in all it is a quite linear game. There are less women you can bed in the game :) Many other stuff I don't like about the game but don't want to spend time on. It just feels like Dragon Age 2 or Mass Effect 2, not as good as the first part, except it is more tragic, because I liked Witcher 1 more than the other two.

one of the best RPGs ever
So, where do I start? First, the story is immersive, absolutely great and feels much, MUCH better written than most RPGs and even most movies. It is intriguing and heavily non linear. You can really see at least two almost completely different sides of the story, that complete each other perfectly. Graphics are amazing and (if you tune them a bit) also smooth. Combat started a bit rough, but has been vastly improved through patches. I did a playthrough a year ago and one that I finished now, and I must say that it has improved a lot. The interface is relatively complex and looks a bit confusing at first, but one learns to cope with it. Last but not least, the producers of this game are, for once, really caring and listen to customers; and they keep supporting their products after much time they release them. A must play.
