Awful, Trash
Started the game and the framerate just tanked, making this game unplayable, only a few steps forward into the game froze my PC and had to do a hard reset, game is complete trash.

Behold!
One of the best first person shooters ever made for the gameplay. You are a angel Malachi that starts off with a small selection of magic and then a lot more. Ever wanted to use bullet time and turn an enemy into salt you can. Such a blast to play and its a shame it was so overlooked. You will not be disappointed with this gem of a game.

Original Game Review
This was a great single player shooter, not nearly as good as Unreal 1 and that game's 'epicness' but a decent story and attempt, for the time. However, the rifle is continually OP the whole game, the rail gun is realistically oversized and slow, some spells/abilities don't do enough damage, just act as interrupts, not effective given there aren't enough combatants in most engagements to not use the more damaging abilities/spells. Probably the best thing about the game is the boss fights, however many can be overcome buy using the grenade launcher in a 'cheating' manor - many bosses have a shield that prevents rockets/grenades from entering their zone, by sticking the weapon barrel into the zone one can launch explosives into the forbidden zone. Still, some of the best boss fights in almost any game for many years to come.

Merci GOG !
J'avais ce jeu en version boite en 1999 (date de sa sortie), et malheureusement il a été rapidement incompatible au fil du temps. J'attendais que GOG puisse exaucer mon souhait, et que dire...merci encore. 17 ans après, ce jeu reste comme dans mes souvenirs : fun, bourrin, rapide, avec un level design d'époque, c'est à dire assez recherché, sans être un long couloir comme on le voit dans les FPS d'aujourd'hui. Ce qui était innovant à l'époque, c'était le principe d'incarner un Ange déchu ayant des pouvoirs surnaturels : je me souviens qu'on pouvait transformer les ennemis en statues de sel, leur faire bouillir leur sang jusqu'à ce qu'ils explosent...la mitraillette du jeu reste aussi excellent que dans mes souvenirs, efficace et on sent qu'elle envoie du lourd. J'ai du faire déjà un cinquième du jeu et je me suis régalé. Rare sont de nos jours des FPS bourrins aussi fun. Seul JD Software avec Doom cette année à réussi le pari. En tout cas pour les plus jeunes qui aimeraient découvrir un vieux FPS bourrin, n'hésitez pas : achetez-le.
