A classic for sure!
WOW! It has been AGES since I thought about this game! I am swimming in the nostalgia right now. If you were a PC gamer when this sleeper hit came out, and you REALLY DUG DEEP INTO PC GAMING, THEN AND ONLY THEN did you know what such games were. This wasn't one of those big publicized games like Quake and Doom and it was STILL pretty amazing! Corridor shooter with a very unique style!

A common issue of the game not working.
Buyer beware this game suffers from a common error of claiming to not have enough memory. There are workarounds that work for some people but some are terribly inconvenient and not all work for everybody, case and point I never got it working.

Good ideas but...
.... poor execution, unless you play on easy difficulty ( Heaven) expect to use just one/two powers, and combined with the poor variety of levels, you will get bored quickly.

an interesting relic of a bygone era
Interesting level design and ability system. It's surprising that I didn't know about this game for so many years. Now, of course, it looks hopelessly outdated, but the gameplay is lively.

Doesn't stand the test of time
I can see this game's appeal, I really do. Unfortunately, on modern hardware and for modern standards, it is simply an atrocious experience. Pressing "ESC" to open the option menu in game gives it a seizure, no doubt because of something resolution-related, and it's a good example to make you understand the level of jankiness you can expect if you try it. I think there are other problems as well, such as a disgraceful UI and sharp, unnatural movement, but nobody ever reads these things so whatever. I guess I was expecting something more like Doom or the Build Engine boys, and this just doesn't compare from a technical point of view.
