Kane and Lynch: Dead Men™

I played this game back when it was first released in 2007 & it blew my mind at 13 going back now and its hard to explain. Its like you visit your ex-gf when you were in high school she was the apple of your eye but due to unforeseen circumstance you've separated; you cherish the memories you had with her. Now you visit your home town after 17 year, you look for your love with glee but when you meet her she's gained 200kg, is an alcoholic, has 3 kids from 3 different men and rambles incoherently. It was nice seeing her but you regret associating your nostalgic memories with the stark reality of now and you ponder maybe she wasn't that great. This game is only nice if you grew up with it but if you're a first timer just skip it.

Pros: - Original protagonists. Really i cannot remember many more games with a realisticly written bad protagonist that are not edgelords. - Plot and style. I love how the IO tried to rip off Tarantino. Dark humor, tragedy of Kane and 2 endings, both ,,grey" It's a brutal gangster/mercenary story and typical happy and would be out of place. Cons: - Everything else. Game works terribly on modern computers (or it's just my luck...). Keyboard and mouse controls are terrible unresponsive (play only with controller). The graphics is as mediocore as possible, first Gear of war, that came out year earlier looks in my opinion way better. Cover system is clunky, enemies are stupid and the guns have terrible recoil so you have big problems with hitting a target even with single shots. And many, many more problems... Verdict: I like this game. Really. But I don't reccomend playing it. Instead watch it on YT. Eventually give it a try on sales. But if you play and the clunky gameplay won't discourage you, I guarantee that this game will stay in your head. And I thing it means something.

There should be a notice saying that it does not support online co-op, very disappointing when you are inside the game and the only thing it supports is local co-op (split-screen).

The game will freeze every couple of seconds for about 1 second without it. https://github.com/geeky/dinput8wrapper seems to have fixed it for now.

Ugly story, guilty character, really liked it. There was a microstutter but i was able to fix it by going to device manager and disabling HID compliant device and HID compliant consumer control device. You can re-enable them after you have finished playing. Hopefully that helps if you run into that issue. Other than that no issues and was able to complete the game.
