Days Gone

Definitely underrated among the Sony ports. A lot of content is packed into this game (from the unlockables to a separate challenge mode). The story moved me close to tears at times and the stellar voice acting from everyone definitely sold me. The soundtrack? OMG it got me really immersed in the world. It feels very reminiscent of The Punisher and The Walking Dead Theme songs especially. It does have some game bugs you may run into along your playthrough where enemies just end up freezing in midair when going over obstacles, LOD & objects not loading properly in the world or at a much lower quality, physics sometimes going crazy at random intervals when in combat and permanent Temporal Anti-Aliasing method when moving around with your bike has terrible ghosting. Other than those weird oddities, I had an absolute blast just messing with the horde mechanic and upgrading Deacon along the journey. It truly sucks that there isn't going to be a sequel to this game. Don't pass on this one! Keep bringing more sony exclusives to GOG, I especially want to see Insomniacs Spider-Man games here!

This game is a masterpiece, that's all that needs to be said. There's something with the voice acting that just elevates this over any other story driven game I've ever played with the exception of maybe Red Dead Redemption 2. Yes, there are some bugs, and Deacon talking to himself does sound odd at times, but the acting for the cutscenes is top knotch. If you haven't played it before, don't skip this one. It is a time commitment, however, so don't expect to breeze through the story. The game really picks up once you make it to Lost Lake, and that was probably the point I decided there was nothing else I was playing until I finished this game.

I highly recommend this game. I bought it on release day whenI owned PS4. It as still buggy, some places on the map were unfinished but I still enjoyed it tremendously. Fighting hords is SO MUCH FUN. The pc game is obviously so much better with ultra-wide support, 60FPS plus etc.

Forget all the negativity surrounding this game when it launched on PS4. The bugs and performance have been ironed out making the game look and run beautifully. What your left with is an open world zombie game with a sadly midiocre story but fantastic gameplay. A sequel would have truly pushed this IP to the next lext. Unfortunately Sony disagrees and no longer wants anything to do with this game or its potential future. Despite this, its well worth a playthrough.

This is one of my favorites games!! Kept me interested until the end!! Love the story, the atmosphere, the fighting, the motorcycle riding and more. Played on PS4. Definitely hoping for a sequel!!
