HellRaiserTM: Hi! I'm not able to get it work either. I tried with 1360x768 and 1280x720 and I just get a black screen and my computer hangs. I'm using Windows 8. The same thing happened to me with Emperor as well. Any ideas?
It does not truley fix the rez. All files were installed and still no change
Maybe a little late response, but it's working.
Initially when I copied and overwrited the desired files the game still looked the same.
Then I changed the in-game resolution from the Display settings to 1024x768 and it switched to the resolution of the copied files.
Now it is looking great.

Agreed it works, you just have to change the resolution in options to 1024x768 while in game. Then it kicks to whatever the resolution you installed with the fix.
The rockpapershotgun link + set screen res to 1024*768 worked for me as well. Many thanks!
How do you use this fix if you don't have Poseidon installed. When I start Zeus it shuts down because I don't have Poseidon installed. I own the original Zeus which I installed but don't own Poseidon,
I went ahead and purchased the Zeus + Poseidon package even though I own the original Zeus. It was easier than trying to figure out how use the patch for Zeus by itself.

This one worked for me.

Awesome, thanks!!
Nice attempt, kudos for effort.
But I'll play the puritan card and keep my city building adventures in Greece in 1024x768 as some of the elements are just not meant to be in 1920x1080 (like map for example).
There's an issue I have with the link on the rockpapershotgun-site that may be worth noting for others as well.
My browser (firefox) blocks the download because it "may contain a virus or spyware".
I have got no idea if that actually means anything or not. I do, however, find the file size suspicious (was it 170mb? the Cleopatra patch I found is 939kb)
Another person apparently has the same issue.

So you might want to be wary with that patch.

Has anyone found another patch for the game? Or a tutorial how to change the resolution with a hex editor?

Any hint would be extremely helpful. :)

My browsers block the link aswell... but i can download it with "jDownloader" without any problems. Give it a try ;)
My browser blocks the patch on the wiki and says it contains spyware or other harmful files. Has anyone found a safe mod to download, any help would be appreciated.
I have the same issue. Can't download the fix.

Thank you, but it very well might contain a virus :(
I really wonder why the file is so large. Aren't Caesar 3, Pharaoh, Emperor and Zeus almost identical? Why would the file for Zeus be 200x as large?

It is because he include a single fix for each resolution - containing 12 different ones (.exe and various pictures).

I just tried it myself (thanks gog for the sale on this game) and it works flawlessly (1080p Resolution, Win7 64bit).
