So I have a problem running Wizardry Gold, when I open it, if I choose the "Large Game Window" option the game doesn't run at all, but if I click on "Desktop resolution" the window is so small it's barely playable (it's like a quarter of the screen)
This question / problem has been solved by triockimage
Did you try to check the forum and see if anyone else have had this problem?

sadly there is nothing that can be done, it's just how it is or how the fix GOG used is. Best thing to do is just go on the extras and nab the dos version of 7 and play that, honestly it should of been the version gog used in the installer(seriously GOG why did you put that broken mess in the installer and the good version in the extras), just as well since there are just too many issues with Gold such as Diplomacy is completely broken in that game unlike the dos version.

Oh what's wrong with diplomacy in the Gold version?

Yeah but I wanted to check out the auto-mapper and the improved features :P

I never played Wizardry Gold, what changed from 7?

Yeah the automap feature was the one feature I was more interested in.

I love drawing maps, but I don't have the time I once had

Well, in DOS version you can use a map from your inventory. ;)

Even in the GoG version? I remember Wizardry Gold having problems (like being unable to exit level up once you can't spend skill points in a category), but as far as I remember the most dire ones were fixed since then. Is this diplomacy issue still valid?

yes, GOG only fixes compatibility issues/issues running the game on modern hardware, not in game bugs. So unless the devs fixed issues in a patch issues like those will remain unfixed.

I've tried both Gold and DOS versions and I really like DOS one because Gold version looks really ugly :D
