miketwoface: I've tried both Gold and DOS versions and I really like DOS one because Gold version looks really ugly :D

stika: really? the gold version looks worse? howcome?
Well, this is just my personal opinion and general feeling. Maybe its because I've just finished wiz6. But I just don't like how the Gold one feels. I mean the graphics in the game should be the same, but those horrible portraits in Gold version are really awful :D
Also I din't like that window covering fullscreen and the small frame with a game inside it, and the narrator's voice is not that good.

So I decided to play DOS version and I like it more, feels like wiz6 for me.

Oh, I hope this makes some sence.

I have imported Wizardry 8 portraits into Wizardry 7 Gold.
Here's the video showing the results and other info.
Download links are in the description.

I really don't get why are the portraits one of the main reasons for not playing the gold version since you can change them...
they are just 256-colour indexed bmps in the game's folder.

Non-human-like skinned portraits were converted automatically to the indexed format, the human-like skinned ones had to be converted manually and painstakingly (because automatic conversion yielded either brown, red, orange or yellow rather than a caucassian skin colour)

I am not monetizing that video.
