I've tried 5+ times for dozens of minutes but I can't find anyone to play with. The client runs fine and the chat is working but I'm the only one there.

This is what is happening to me also, and you have posted during the time period when I have kept the game open and have been stuck on "Matchmaking...waiting for other players to join."
Also I have typed in chat and have yet to see anything from anyone else.

That was going to be my next suggestion. I just tried to join "Surfers" and it created a new lobby rather than join an existing one :(

I just tried joining Surfers but it created a lobby. I guess try joining and see if you join mine?

Naah, it does not work. It just creates new lobby with the same name.

Bummer, I wonder what the deal is with this. Oh well, hopefully they will fix it soon.

Yesterday i found one player who dc'd halfway.. and i don't have a another code to play with a friend so i hope more keys go out soon to people to fill matchmaking :D
