jadeite: Considering that there have been free upgraded previously, I don't really get what the problem is.

For now, I have Grim Dawn b28 and PoE to keep me occupied, but it would still be nice to get the Final Cut as well.
Some of us bought the lot on GOG and waiting for the final cut and download the game (likely to be a huge download for many people as well considering the originals) and start playing it (assume save games arent compatible between the two versions?)/

You're correct that you cannot transfer saves. The characters have been completely revamped, and the Bounty Hunter class that we essentially got split into two separate classes: The Protector and the Hunter.

According to Steam's specs of the game, it's saying that it's about 40 GB, and that's not including the additional 7 or so GB of extra storage you need if you want the Hi-def pack.

Opposite. It is Monster Hunter who got split into Bounty Hunter (ranged) and Protector (Melee) which is sad as it was great bcs of possibility to respec between them :(

Derp, I knew something didn't feel right as I was typing it. Base class of VH1 split into two classes, yeah.
40GB..... Bring it on. As long as we get our gog version. It could be 100GB. Except I would be disappointed but worth the wait.
Whats with the delay?

Probably multiplayer through Galaxy integration.

Hybrid forbidden: you must have a 'Specialist'. :((

Yeah that is the thing that makes me sad. In VH1 and 2 Making a Hunter means that when You're fed of with Your character build, You can respec it to other class (from ranged to melee or vice-versa). In VH 3 and now Final Cut this is not possible. If You're hunter You're ranged that it, because Protector is nothing like Hunter tbh. I even think that Umbralist is closer to melee-hunter than Protector. I don't know if i would like final cut, so far my fav part is VH 1 (i finished all parts on Heroic difficulty and now i am playing HC Hard gunner in scenario mode - and won't risk neverending mode with HC :P) in VH1 only. I don't know why but i do not like VH2 as much, and VH is a bit disappointment for me :(

They didn't really do a good job of supporting hybrids in VH1. It seemed like a dead end to me. Hunter could do STR, DEX, or INT, and there was very little reason to mix anything up. Maybe magey hunters could tab between swords and guns, but whenever I started with either STR or DEX, I never looked back.

I think making more passive skills global would've been better. There were way too many this-skill-only-has-this-lifesteal upgrades, for starters...

The reason is to go hybrid. Sure the playstyle is different than a specialized class, as depending on the situation you have to switch weapon, what is not needed if specialized. The playstyle of hybrids always ask for a smarter player who must better use the flaws of monsters, you must adapt more often and deeply to the situation. Some just want to hack&slash (what is good), some want to think a little too.

That is why i said Respec not just switch weapons. Respec cost although high at the beginning was almost unnoticeable in later stage of game.

I usually only respec if I mess up a build. I guess you could swap out builds for different encounters, but often it's easier to just grind a little more.
I also hear that they've added level scaling to the mix. Which means that every time you find really nice gear, you're essentially "leveling down" your character until you're lucky enough to find comparable stuff of the next tier. What do game designers have against the concept of character progress these days, anyway?

I agree. You're not really leveling up if everything around you is getting stronger at the same clip. IMO, leveling up should be fun, and if I want to grind levels, I should be rewarded for my work rather than punished. If I put in the time to overlevel for an area because I want to feel like a god amongst ants, I should be able to. On the inverse, if I want the challenge of defeating an area while underleveld I should also be able to glean that challenge. Level scaling just takes a lot of that away aside from "This monster is inherently weaker or stronger than that other monster, which is weaker or stronger than you."
