Hi guys, any chance to get the original game without any kind of patch ?

I'd like to play the camarilla edition but after installing the mod the game launch and, as soon as i chose "new game" game crash.

I'd like to make a fresh install and install mod afterward.

Thanks for your help.

P.S: Game is working smoothly with only game dl from gog and I've download and installed UP plus 9.6 and game worked smoothly aswell

So there is an option fpr game only download?
Basicly the game includes one of the latest unofficial patches. There is somewher an option to get it in the base / retail edition?

Doesn't the GOG version install a legacy shortcut which does exactly that?

I am sorry I dont know what a "legacy shortcut" is.

What I understood so far: basicly/normally the gog download includes the unofficial patch. But from how I understood Thynns P.S. there is an option (only game) that allowes the customer to dowload the original / plain /retail version?

Did I get that right?

Nope, I havn't been clear (english not my native language, my apologies).

Gog version include UP9.5, it works.

I've also tried UP9.6 , it works.

I've tried installing Camarilla Edition from original post in this thread, and game crash.

So I was wondering if there was a chance I can find an original release without UP mod to check if it works.


While installing GOG version I haven't been prompted to choose between retail or UP mod.

Camarilla Edition is included in CQM and mod works.

I'll give it a shot this way.

Hi, I'm going to play the game for the first time and I'm looking to get rid of bugs but I got a bit confused seeing that patch list. Specifically, what's the point of True Patch Gold? Doesn't the gog version already come with a bug fixing patch?

I added a new mod and added to the descriptions for True Patch Gold and Wesp's Unofficial Patch 9 weeks ago.
Bloodlines Audio Overhaul Mod ("full-on reworking of the sound effects"; currently just weapons; future releases include magic, world, and atmosphere)
True Patch Gold (fixes nearly every bug, several optional features, wide-screen fix, the "vanilla" patch)
Wesp's Unofficial Patch (bug fixes, many optional/non-optional additions and changes)

Yes, the GOG already includes the more up to date basic UP. The TPG is only an outdated relic of the "patch wars"...
