Legacy1776: Just to double check. For the plus patch. I just need to "Buy" the -Unofficial Patch from the new Mod Page and run the game from that?
Yep.

shmerl: Btw, is there some way to add an extra cfg file with override for fps_max = ..., in order to avoid GOG update wiping out my changes and not blacklisting autoexec.cfg from updates either?
You should disable the GOG updater in the first place, but you can add the command e.g. to user.cfg...

PaulMuadDibUsul: This new version of GOG's release is not the final version of UP?
avatar
wesp5: Yes, it is. But I accidentally left some old comment in the cfg file.
1. Will GOG update their compilation with future versions of this mod automatically? Or they depend on creators to PM them about updates?
2. New versions may be installed on already modded game, right?

They sometimes updated the basic patch versions themselves, but as this hopefully is the final patch I will PM them if any hotfixes are necessary.

Yes, but be sure to start a new game afterwards!

My current lgogdownloader blacklist looks like this for now:

# Clutter
Rp vtm_bloodlines/__redist

# Skipped logo videos
Rp vtm_bloodlines/Vampire/media

# Saved games
Rp vtm_bloodlines/Unofficial_Patch/save

# Configuration saved from the Options menu
Rp vtm_bloodlines/Unofficial_Patch/cfg/config.cfg

# fps limit setting goes there, uncomment temporarily to pull any updates
Rp vtm_bloodlines/Unofficial_Patch/cfg/autoexec.cfg

I have the german version of the game from GOG. But with that patch it's on english. How can I play in german with the patch? Can I use the german language files?

Sadly the German translation of the 11.5 final patch is still in the works.

I guess you mean Unofficial_Patch/cfg/user.cfg?

Looks like this one is managed by galaxy too, so probably OK to just stick to modifying autoexec.cfg and blacklisting it from updates

It could probably work better if there was some file not managed by galaxy in some location.

Btw, just for the reference, setting fps_max in user.cfg doesn't work, I suppose it's executed before autoexec.cfg is.

To make it more modular you can add something like this at the end of autoexec.cfg

exec custom.cfg

And then add fps_max = "..." to custom.cfg

Another neat shortcut I added was this for quick one button exit:

bind "F11" "exit"

Can we add this to MO2? The new .exe I mean.
And thank you for making this mod.
Well, about framerates, I've tried it out once and played I think it was No Man's Sky with 30 fps instead of 60 fps and saw no difference at all. I merely saved energy.

On a flatscreen, really the whole screen displays the image for real. Its not like on old CRT monitors when a single pixel was written at a time and having 100 fps actually still made a visible difference compared to 60 fps.

And while yes, VtMB is an action roleplaying game, it is certainly not a real shooter game like, say, PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds - so what exactly does one want super high fps for anyway ?
The basic the benefit of higher framerate is less motion blur.

Btw, I just noticed that your release on Moddb has some interesting stuff like original concept art and etc. Did you suggest GOG to add that to their release? May be they can bundle it as extras. Concept art is really cool so it's surprising GOG didn't include it.

I think I once asked them if they want to include the extras, but they never replied.
