I have the german version of the game from GOG. But with that patch it's on english. How can I play in german with the patch? Can I use the german language files?

Looks like this one is managed by galaxy too, so probably OK to just stick to modifying autoexec.cfg and blacklisting it from updates
It could probably work better if there was some file not managed by galaxy in some location.

Btw, just for the reference, setting fps_max in user.cfg doesn't work, I suppose it's executed before autoexec.cfg is.
To make it more modular you can add something like this at the end of autoexec.cfg
exec custom.cfg
And then add fps_max = "..." to custom.cfg
Another neat shortcut I added was this for quick one button exit:
bind "F11" "exit"

Well, about framerates, I've tried it out once and played I think it was No Man's Sky with 30 fps instead of 60 fps and saw no difference at all. I merely saved energy.
On a flatscreen, really the whole screen displays the image for real. Its not like on old CRT monitors when a single pixel was written at a time and having 100 fps actually still made a visible difference compared to 60 fps.
And while yes, VtMB is an action roleplaying game, it is certainly not a real shooter game like, say, PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds - so what exactly does one want super high fps for anyway ?

The basic the benefit of higher framerate is less motion blur.

Btw, I just noticed that your release on Moddb has some interesting stuff like original concept art and etc. Did you suggest GOG to add that to their release? May be they can bundle it as extras. Concept art is really cool so it's surprising GOG didn't include it.
