Try to look at here:

Mac Topic

It has some info about the CD key too, maybe it helps you. :)

This is apparently one of those games where you need to contact GOG Support directly and request a unique serial key for multiplayer -- just follow this link to fill out the form (for 'problem type', select "multiplayer key request"). Just don't be surprised if it takes a few days for them to get back to you.
I'm not sure what else you were trying to ask with that question, so sorry if I misunderstood your problem.

They stated they already have multiple valid keys from other (retail?) versions. They were having trouble changing the default GOG key. Of course GOG doesn't offer a Mac version. Not sure how we are supposed to guess how they have it installed...
Following this guide (its how i installed the game at least):

https://www.gog.com/forum/unreal_series/how_to_convert_ut2004_to_native_mac_os_x_app_not_using_crossover_or_wine

You should create (or already have) a file in the Unreal Tournament.app/System folder
For a few months in 2015, I was using an iMac (2009 with Yosemite).
I just used the GOG version of UT2004 via a Winewrap from Paul The Tall: http://paulthetall.com/mac-action-games/ Dude makes individualized Winewraps for alotta kick-ass games.

The UT2004 Winewrap can be found here: http://paulthetall.com/unreal-tournament-2004-mac/

Download the Winewrap.
Download the UT2004 installers from GOG.
Install the Winewrap.
Then, install UT2004 in the Winewrap.

It should set up a desktop shortcut that'll run just as if on Windows.
