grassBlade: I have to admit, though, getting used to the GUI is taking me more time than usual (and I've been playing crpgs since the Gold Box DnD days)
Fenixp: The UI is horrible. It's busy, clunky and the worst of all, they already nailed it with Pillars, so what on Earth were they trying to "fix" in Tyranny?
Yes, PoE has shaped up to be a fantastic game, imo, with the expansions complete and the patching done for the most part--it's 95% cohesive and coherent! I've really enjoyed it. They did much in PoE after the first iteration--some additional features I agreed with but as these are basically optional settings, what's not to like? If people don't like some of the changes they can turn them off--like the auto-AI fighting for the characters, for instance. PoE is a great game--far better than the original iteration, imo.
Thanks to everyone who's responded, but I think I may wait awhile to see how Tyranny shapes out over the next couple of months...;)
Venita: Took me around 12 hours to finish it, but I'm hearing that 20h is average. There's a ton of replayability and a multitude of different decisions to make, big and small.
Thanks so much for the info! Very interesting!
