Aridoom: The post above you explains everything you have to do. You have to extract the installer with WinRAR or 7-Zip.
Oh, I didn't realize I had to open the .exe file with Winrar. Works like a charm. Thank you for pointing me the right way. :-)

Rincewind1986: Hi, Im using Windows 7 x64 and this is how I got it to work:
1. Download version from "Tomb Raider Chronicles"
2. Open it with some archive tool (Peazip, WinRar, ...)
3. Extract files somewhere and run setup.exe
4. During installation, when you get to the "Choose path", point to your GOG Tomb Raider 2 installation folder
4. run "Tomb Raider 2" (tr2.exe), not tr2gold.exe
Is there any way to play the bonus level "Nightmare in Vegas" with this solution? Normally you are supposed to unlock the bonus level by finding all secrets in the prior levels and finishing the game. Then you should be able to select every level including the bonus level from the passport.

I've finished the game and found all 12 secrets. Every level end statistic also told me that I had found the 3 secrets hidden in the respective level. The end statistic hoever told me I've found 9 of 9 secrets, although there are 12 secrets in total (not counting the ones in the bonus level) and as I said I've found them all.

Also, the main menu isn't completely how it should be. The background is the Golden Mask background but I still have the option to go to Lara's Home (which just crashes the game) and in the passport I can still see my saves from the levels of the main game.

tldr:
I don't have the passport option to select the levels but I really would like to play "Nightmare in Vegas". Is there any solution to this?

Sorry for double posting. I've decided to create a new one since my last post in this topic was six days ago and people won't see I've edited it.

UPDATE:
I've downloaded a savegame for the start of "Nightmare in Vegas" and I can play it just fine this way. :-)

FYI: The cfg where you have to change the name of the executable has changed, it's dosboxTR_single.conf now.
