MarkoH01: Oh this is hardly the case. The GOG stuff reads several threads in this forum especially when it is about technical complaints. Since you have not yet used tech support it's understandable that you cannot understand my issue. But having received several of the exact same mails whenever I open up a ticket let me see this different.
JudasIscariot: Let me offer a suggestion, then :) If you do not want the Support staff working on your ticket to ask you to start off with the basic troubleshooting steps then feel free to let them know when you first write your ticket what you have already done to try and solve your problem :)
Please keep in mind that our Support staff gets thousands of tickets a day, we can't access a person's computer remotely to really see the root of the problem, and thus that's why you get the initial steps and then further work can be done to address the problem once we rule out all possible solutions :)
You are right and that is a good idea, Judas - I will do so in the future.
Speaking of things that should be done different: are there any news regarding the updated Witcher 3 Installers? As you can read
here the new GOTY installer has several advantages to the one we are now using. Unfortunately after some nice "we will ask because we usually try to do everything possible" reaction on German Facebook there is complete radio silence now from both CDPR and GOG regarding this topic. So basically this is a signal for never again buying early. I really don't understand why GOG/CDPR let buyers of the single releases down here. Please don't tell me that it's impossible because you've done things like this several times before.
