Hardcoding aspect ratios, UI elements scaling and position, and basically assuming anything about the user's viewport would be very poor coding in Web and Mobile dev... I don't know how game dev can somehow get away with it. I'm so dissapointed in CDPR, I hope they'll provide a fix for "non-standrd" resolutions soon.

Almost the year 2020 and I'm still checking this discussion thread at every sale in the hope that they have added ultrawide support....

I'm hoping that since Thronebreaker was released on Switch recently, mby we will get 21:9 finally
