It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

I think this is the first time I see something like this. at the moment, I'm pretty much out of ideas - but if you don't mind a weird guy from the internet poking around your pc, we could schedule a teamviewer session, maybe I'll be able to figure out something once I see everything directly. the time window is 6pm-11pm gmt+0, so some 8 hours from now on.
I am going to say no to your idea. I think I will just accept defeat in this situation. I think I will ask gog for a refund since I just purchased it 5 days ago. I do find it strange that I contacted gog for both thief gold and HoMM1 about technical support and have yet to hear from them (most likely do due all these sales so they are busy).

I thank you, for your willingness to help me.
one last thing - even though the game will not launch in the dx9 mode, it should still produce a usable thief.log, try posting it. it just might contain enough info that could help id the problem.
I posted it earlier when you asked me.

Here is the most recent one.

It doesn't tell us much about the driver's version ; how about a dxdiag report ?
looks like the system is reporting that no hw 3d is available. yeah, dxdiag could shed some light on this;

type dxdiag into the searchbar in the start menu, and there should be a "save all information" button. post the log.

also, there should be a hw acceleration slider, make sure it's all the way to the right (fully enabled)
